We think every item on I Am Local is awesome, but we know sometimes you need to make a return. By completing this purchase, you agree to our Terms & Conditions, including our Simple Return process.

Simple Return 

We think every item on I Am Local is awesome, but we know sometimes you need to make a return. Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will be processed on the method of payment of the original purchase and may take a few business days to appear on your account.

Returned items must be in the same condition in which they were received. Clothing items must be unworn and with original tags. Sorry, no returns on swimwear or undergarments. 

To initiate a return, please log in to your I Am Local account, go to your Transactions page, and select the applicable transaction. Indicate which item(s) you are returning. If you are returning an item due to damage, please take a photo of the damage and upload it to the return authorization page.

Once you click “Process my return,” you’ll be asked to indicate “return via USPS” or “return at the store.”

Return via USPS

If you decide to return via USPS, a shipping label and return form will be automatically generated. Please pack up the item(s) carefully so that they are not damaged in transit and make sure to include the form with the return code in the box. If you are returning the item due to damage, make sure you’ve uploaded a photo and description of the damage on the return authorization page. Since all of our sellers are independent merchants, your items may need to be mailed to more than one store. Please check your shipping instructions carefully.

In-Store returns

If you decide to return your item(s) in person, a return authorization code will be generated and emailed to you. You’ll need to show this code to the merchant, and you can do so by showing them the code on your phone or printing out the form after it’s emailed to you. If you are returning the item due to damage sustained in transit, please show the damage to the merchant upon return. We are unable to process exchanges on our site, but please feel free to purchase a replacement item directly from the merchant while you’re in the store. While I Am Local will not profit from in-store purchases, our goal is to support local merchants, and we are happy when you find something you love in our community!

Your refund will be processed once the item has been received by the merchant and may take a few business days to appear on your account.

  • The product was purchased in the last 30 days
  • The product is in its original packaging
  • The product isn't used or damaged
  • You have the receipt or proof of purchase

Shipping charges

Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable.

You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping, both to and from one-stop shopping from local, independent retail stores..

Damaged items

If you received a damaged product, please notify us immediately for assistance.

Sale items

Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded. Only regular price items can be refunded.
